Thirsty trooper gets a 2 for 1 deal

On Friday afternoon January 6th, Trooper John McKinnon was making a pit stop at a CVS along Boylston St (Route 9) when he was approached by a person stating there was a suspicious person at the pharmacy in the rear of the store. That's where he discovered a 27 year old male from Brockton behind the counter loading up on pain killers. Seeing as the subject was armed with a knife the trooper drew his service weapon and ordered the suspect to drop his weapon. At that point the subject hopped the counter and fled out the store. The trooper ensued in a foot chase behind him and apprehended the subject a Steven Garland of Brockton as he tried to enter his getaway car. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the car was reported stolen. The subject was taken into custody without incident or injury.
