2 alarm fire damages Everett home

Around 8:15 this evening Everett fire department responded to 147 Jefferson Ave for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival of the companies, heavy smoke was visible pouring from the eaves of the 2.5 story wood frame home and a working fire assignment was sounded. Approximately 8:26 PM a 2nd alarm was transmitted to bring additional manpower to the scene as the fire advanced into the second floor and the attic. The fire was reported to be knocked down on all floors around 8:43 and companies began overhaul. Somerville, Chelsea, Melrose, Malden all came to cover the city or assist at the scene. 1 patient was transported by EMS as a precaution with non life threatening injuries.

Identification sought for 2 suspects in Marathon bombing

The FBI has released official images and video of 2 suspects wanted in connection with the marathon bombing attacks on April 15th 2013 in the City of Boston. They are asking anyone with information to call 1-800- CALL FBI or utilize their website at: Marathon tip site

State police also state that these photos are the official ones and to disregard any others that may be posted online.

Note: Suspect 1 is wearing a black hat, suspect 2 has a defined jaw bone and nose and has dark hair.

Armed gunman robs Medford bank

Around 4:40 PM yesterday, January 31st the East Cambridge Savings Bank at 243 Salem St was robbed. The suspect entered the bank and pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded cash. The teller complied and the subject fled the scene on a bicycle. The bike was recovered a short time later and the suspect remains outstanding.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'6"-5'8"with a thin build. He was wearing a dark gray sweatshirt, black sweatpants, dark colored shoes or sneakers, black gloves, and a black knit cap pulled down over his face.

The FBI is assisting Medford police in the investigation and anyone with information is urged to call Medford PD detectives at 781-391-6765 or the business line at 781-391-6404.

3 alarm fire races thru Lawrence home

Just before 3 AM this morning, firefighters from across the Merrimack Valley responded to 70/72 Berkeley St in Lawrence for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival of engine 7 they reported heavy fire showing from a 2.5 story 2 family home and immediately ordered the 2nd alarm. The 3rd alarm was soon ordered as the home became fully engulfed and defensive ops were ordered. The home is completely gutted and sent 10 residents racing into the cold early morning temperatures. 1 resident and 1 firefighter were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
