2 alarm fire damages Everett home

Around 8:15 this evening Everett fire department responded to 147 Jefferson Ave for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival of the companies, heavy smoke was visible pouring from the eaves of the 2.5 story wood frame home and a working fire assignment was sounded. Approximately 8:26 PM a 2nd alarm was transmitted to bring additional manpower to the scene as the fire advanced into the second floor and the attic. The fire was reported to be knocked down on all floors around 8:43 and companies began overhaul. Somerville, Chelsea, Melrose, Malden all came to cover the city or assist at the scene. 1 patient was transported by EMS as a precaution with non life threatening injuries.
