Boston firefighters busy with mid day fire

Around 1 PM Boston fire officials were called to 27 Gallivan Boulevard for a report of a fire. Engine 16 reported smoke showing on arrival. Car 8 arrived soon thereafter and immediately ordered the 2nd alarm for the house which is reported to be a 2.5 story wood frame. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Update: 1:10 pm: Command now reporting fire on the 2nd and 3rd floors extending upwards towards the roof area. Primary searches being conducted.

Update: 1:15 PM: Interior companies requesting rakes to the upper floors. Fire extending to ceiling area & Ladder 10 has been requested to bring a chain saw to the roof

Update: 1:20 PM: Ladder 29 reporting fire advancing up the stairs and requesting an additional line to be run and fire running through the roof on the front of the building. Crews reporting heavy fire on floor 2 knocked down. Primary searches complete on floor 2. Secondary under way

Update: 1:30 PM: Interior companies reported "it's like a junkyard up here" prior to them commencing a secondary search. Command also reported heavy fire knocked down throughout and all companies were going to be engaged in extensive overhaul for a while. As of yet there have been no injuries reported at this time
