Car into a pole injuries 1 in Waltham

Around 11 PM Waltham first responders were sent to the area of 643 Trapelo Road for a report of an accident involving a vehicle into a utility pole and 3 parked cars. 1 of the parked vehicles was pushed up against the gas meter to the house which in turn was sheared off. National Grid was called to the scene to check the pole integrity and the meter. No structural damage was sustained during the incident and the building inspector was not needed. After about 25 minutes the victim was extricated and transported to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
