Waterbury Connecticut mill fire

Around 5:30 yesterday afternoon numerous firefighters descended upon East Liberty & Mill Streets in Waterbury Connecticut and battled a blaze at a vacant mill complex formerly the Nova Dye and Print factory. The building was approximately 1 block long by 1 block wide and 4 stories tall. There was a pancake type collapse in the rear. Numerous hand lines & master streams were in operation & took several hours to knock down the heavy volume of fire. Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the night and into the morning hours dousing hot spots.
