Around 2:45 this afternoon, firefighters were called to 320 Quincy Ave for a reported fire. Upon arrival it was reported that heavy fire was showing from the rear of a 1.5 story block of stores including a Dependable Dry Cleaners. Defensive operations have been ordered. Boston fire companies and many others have been summonsed to the scene for mutual aid and station coverage.

Update 3:25 PM-Command still reports heavy fire venting in rear of building. Numerous hndlines and master streams in use. Boston Ladder 29 is setting up for ladder pipe operations. 1 firefighter has been transported to an area hospital.
