Lexington crash snarls traffic on 128

Around 1:45 PM today Lexington fire officials responded to Route 128 SB at the Route 2 interchange for a vehicle that rolled off of Route 2 East and onto the highway below. The Jaws of Life were used to extricate the victim who was then transported to the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. State police are on the scene and have requested the services of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Services (CARS) unit. The 2 right travel lanes are restricted as an investigation is underway.

  1. Was 5 minutes behind this terrible crash... Hope everyone is safe.

  2. 80 year old man with serious but non life threatening injuries. No one else was in the car and thank goodness he didn't land on 95. He was swerving all over the road starting in Acton. We called 911 twice to warn them. We were right behind him the whole time. A really scary sight.
